The first app that caught my eye was the HipChat app. This application allows employees to converse with one another in the same office or all over the country. This app can replace monotonous meetings that occur so frequently. Meetings will forever need to occur so everyone can be on the same page but this app will allow not as many meetings to occur so often. Chat rooms can be created so everyone in the company or even outside the company that is working together with the firm can post their thoughts and ideas and everyone can view these new ideas simultaenously. Everyone in the company can post their thoughts no matter what the ranking in the company. The boss and the intern can see what everyone is working on and where everyone is coming from on decision making. If a new idea is thought of, someone can easily post it on this app so people can view it when they have the time. Instead of emailing everyone the idea or calling a meeting as noted earlier this app can be used to jot notes down. Some of the features on this app are: file sharing and storage, notifications, chat rooms, and file history. This is a good app for companies and it accessible for everyone in the firm. Teaching and learning can be useful through this site by people learning what is being posted on the site and viewing new relevant information. Those who are posting information are forever teaching their peers because they are possibly revealing new information that was previously unknown.
The second app I chose is Blippy. This app is an easy way for people to find out what people are buying and what is being purchased. Upon clicking on this app one can right away see who has recently purchased something of relevance to them. A lot of people use Itunes and Amazon and these are two things that highlight this website. These popular websites offer music and almost everyone is offered on Amazon which can appeal to a large audience. An educational purpose for this app is to see what coworkers or other companies are buying to enhance their company's productivity. Amazon has great prices and a lot of people seek items on this site that range from music, books, toys, and much more. Those that are familiar with this site can teach others that if they are interested in what their community is buying they can easily access this information through Blippy.
